Do the video game stores, Game Stop or EB Games, buy used games from you?

by admin on May 18, 2010

I want to know if you can sell video games to Game Stop or EB Games (doesn’t matter) because i have a lot of games that i don’t use anymore and i need the extra cash.By the way, they are PlayStation 2 (PS2) video games that i want to sell to them.

First, Gamestop and EB Games are now the same store (EB was bought out by Gamestop).
On the point of the video games; you can sell the games for both cash and credit. Cash, however, gives you about 10% less than store credit in the amount you receive, so store credit is usually better. Also the store credit amount varies depending on how new the game is, how many copies the store owns, and how popular the game is in the gaming community. PS2 games trade in for a very small amount at this point, so you would be better off selling them on Ebay or Craigslist. As a side note, PC games are not accepted for trade ins at any store.
