PS3 video games- new or used?

by admin on June 5, 2010

is it better to buy them new from walmart or buy them new off of Amazon? People will say rent them first, but our renting store doesnt fix the games even if they have what looks like a million scratches. I just want to know cause i want to buy Fallout 3 but its $60 at walmart and $30 brand new or like new at amazon. ( i will not buy from ebay)
The games do come with a million sctraches because ive seen people put knives to them. Trust me there expensive so i wouldn’t do it.

Get it where it’s the cheapest. There’s no difference between a game being sold at Walmart and a game being sold on Amazon.

The advantage of Walmart is that you can go to the store and buy the game on the day that it’s released.

The advantage of Amazon is that it’s usually a few dollars cheaper than in stores. Downside is that if you want free shipping, you have to get super saver shipping, which usually takes at least a week before you get the game. For some people, it’s a big deal because they want to play the game as soon as it comes out.

Don’t get it from online, if you can try to get it new. The best way, though, to buy anything is from a store in real life.

You do realize that PS3 games don’t scratch easily?

In the case of PS3 games, go wherever they are cheapest, new or used. The majority of the games are not gonna have a "million scratches" since Blu-Ray discs are much more difficult to damage compared to DVD or CD.

I recommend you consider http://www.half.com before going to Amazon as they have better deals sometimes and is just as safe as Amazon. Don’t let the fact that its an Ebay site fool you or keep you away.

Buying a PS3 game online is totally unnecessary.

You probably know this already, but the PS3 uses blu’ray disks rather than a CD or DVD disk. Blu-ray disks are automatically protected, so it will be a lot harder to scratch compared to other disks format. So just get the game where it is cheapest.
