We wanted to get my little brother the Lego Star Wars, and Lego Indiana Jones games for his birthday, but it says the game is for Xbox 360, and we have an xbox. Can these games still be played on an xbox though?

because their only for the 360 and microsoft would loose money if you could play 360 game on the first xbox but the 360 can play all 360 game plus some first xboxs games

As everyone as so shortly answered… NO. it cant be done due to a lot of reasons. The main one is money, microsoft would loose millions in sales. They simply put a codec on the disk to tell any laser diode that reads it that it is of microsoft property and to only work with the xbox 360′s. Not to mention the original xbox has no where near the capability of playing the 360 software. the hard ware is just too old and slow. To put it in to perspective. Bungie created halo 2 to take on the xbox’s capabilities to the xtreme maximum. using all of its ram and what not. Now with the updated hardware of the 360 it could easily run 6 halo 2 games Simultaneaously with music playing in the back ground. Becuase it can.
